Having decided to equip a place to relax in a personal plot, you probably have already studied several design options, their features and advantages. By the way, it is not necessary to start a construction site at all – today ready -made gazebos are already presented on sale. In disassembled form, it is easy to bring them to the object and mount them, following the attached instructions. However, any design will last longer if it is built on a solid foundation.
Choose a place
It is better to install the gazebo on the non -blown area, especially if it is open. If possible, choose a place on a hill – otherwise the site will flood the site all the time during the rain.
The foundation should be made only after you have accurately decided on the place and have scheduled the plan for building the gazebo itself.
Where to start?
Prepare the site. Remove garbage and dirt, dismantle old designs, get rid of stumps and shrubs.
Remove the upper soil layer. This will reduce the level of humidity, because most often the base of the gazebo, like the design itself, is made of wood.
Mark the contour of the structure. To do this, you can use a rope or thread, as well as wooden stakes.
Which foundation to choose?
Landscaping experts recommend a columnar base or its analogues. Such a foundation is simple in the device and easily withstands the estimated loads.
Pay attention! Pillars of pillars will differ for different types of soil. For example, on sandy soil it is enough to dig holes of 40 cm. But in a flattering area you will have to deepen at least one and a half meters.
To strengthen the support in the pit, crushed stone is poured, and then concrete. Pillars must be installed vertically. The slightest inclination turn into a skew of the whole gazebo.
As you can see, the foundation device is not a difficult matter, if there is at least a little experience in construction work. However, keep in mind that the proposed version of the base is not suitable for moving soils. In this case, a continuous enhanced foundation will be an ideal solution.
