Advantages of using lighthouse gypsum plaster

September 9, 2019

Using the method of lighthouse gypsum plaster today is one of the common ways of interior decoration. Compared to traditional lime plaster, the gypsum has a number of advantages.

Firstly, it can easily be used in wet rooms, such as toilet or bath.

Secondly, due to the presence of pores, the gypsum mixture can ideally regulate the humidity level in the room. And the fact that gypsum plaster completely dries for three to five days is of no small importance.

Using gypsum plaster allows you to get ready -made high -quality surfaces, minimizing the work of putty. This material is environmentally friendly, and the high level of adhesion when used with decorative materials excludes the possibility of the formation of cracks.

Before proceeding with the processing of walls with gypsum plaster, all work on electrical installation should be completed. There should be no excess solution on the wall, fragments of brick, etc. p. With the help of universal priming, the wall must be primed so that the ability to absorb various materials on the entire wall is identical. To dry the primer will be about forty minutes. Only after that can you start installing lighthouses.

Lighthouses are installed at a distance of about thirty centimeters less than the value of the length of the rule that is used to align the walls. It is recommended to use a rule of not more than 1.5 meters for this type of work. It is also best done to install a lighthouse using a laser level. When the beacons are installed, it’s time to prepare a gypsum solution. The gypsum mixture should be poured into the water, but in any way. Thus, it is better to initially add the mixture a little. Otherwise, you will have to add water, and this will somewhat ruin the quality of the solution.

Apply gypsum plaster by one half, then rubbed into the surface of the wall with zigzag moves from the bottom up. After the distance between the beacons is filled by a third, you should proceed with the alignment of the plaster through the rule. So, the rule rests on both sides of the beacons. After that, along them, as along the rails, moves along the entire wall from floor to ceiling.
