How to reduce thermal conductivity using building materials

July 3, 2019

In modern houses they make every effort to make housing warmer and thereby minimize heating costs. Foam blocks, mineral wool and hollow brick is an excellent solution that reduces the thermal conductivity of the wall, but if your balcony is not glazed, then a large percentage of heat will leave home to the street. Now it is enough to simply order glazing of the balcony and loggia, and the market offers a wide variety of options, which before the inhabitants of our country, who were forced to collect home -made wooden frames, could not even think.

Moreover, modern plastic or aluminum profile is quoted no less than a tree. If the main task is to insulate the balcony, then preference is given to plasticity, since aluminum can freeze in winter. It is almost impossible to open a frozen frame in a student, especially if it is a roller structure of a sliding window. Plastic frame is usually a multi -chamber profile and double -glazed window. When installing such a design, perfect thermal insulation will be obtained, if additionally around the perimeter of the window, it is good to accommodate all the slots with mounting foam. Recently, a fashion for non -ramous glazing has come from the Scandinavian countries. This is when you have a continuous glass wall on the balcony, fixed on the lateral aluminum profile. Despite the spectacular look, construction experts question the appropriateness of its installation, so thermal conductivity becomes higher, and in our climate it is unacceptable.

Using some double -glazed windows you will not make your balcony warm. Reduce thermal conductivity to a minimum using an interior decoration made of wood or siding. Under the frame you need to lay two layers of mineral wool or other popular insulation. After work, the temperature on the balcony will come close to the home. So that you can even live there, warm floors are installed in the form of an infrared film under the laminate or heating cables for ceramic tiles. Having significantly insulated the balcony, you can connect it to the room into a single space. True, then you will have to legalize this redevelopment, as this requires construction standards and legislation.
