The quality level of laminate parquet is set in accordance with the results of tests established by EPLF (European Association of Laminated Grinds). The tests determine the resistance of abrasion, the impact resistance of the material, the effect of ultraviolet rays, environmental friendliness (formaldehyde level) and a number of other criteria necessary for the classification of the finished product. Based on the results of such tests, one of the classes is assigned.
The class of wear resistance of the laminate is indicated by the abbreviations of the AC3-AS5 or W3-W5.
AS3 (W3)/23 denotes such a class of operation in which such a coating serves no more than 6 years and is used in any residential premises. At the moment, the coating of this class is practically not produced by manufacturers.
Operation class AC3 (W3)/31 – laminate, whose service is no more than 4 years in non -residential premises and up to 10 years in residential.
AS4 (W4)/32 laminate, the service life of which in commercial premises is from 4 to 6 years, and in residential areas up to 14 years. The load level of such material is already considered the average.
Laminate of the operating class of AC5 (W5)/33 serve in residential premises up to 18 years, and in commercial up to 7. Such floors are well suited for hypermarkets with large fluidity.
In grade 34, a laminate was included in which the service life in non -residential premises is over 18 years, and in commercial up to 8. It is suitable for rooms with a very large load, such as airports and stations. This coverage recently appeared on the market and has not yet managed to purchase any special requirements for itself.
