Amazing shine of stone is able to make significant adjustments to any interior. As a rule, marble and granite are used for shiny surfaces, although travertine and other breeds are found. Over time, polishing on the stone fades, the stone is covered with vegetation and loses its appearance. Microporas hiding on the surface of the stone are to blame for everything: dirt and water accumulate in them, which also serve as a nutrient medium for microflora.
To return the type of stone surface, resort to crystallization – a complex thermochemical process. This method is applied to the following natural stones: dolomite, onyx, marble, travertine and limestone. Calcite is acted with a special solution that dissolves the upper layer of stone of small thickness – as a result of the pores of the stone, as it were, are sealed.
Advantages of crystallization:
the mechanical properties of surfaces made of natural stone improve;
color saturation and mirror shine appear;
The water absorption of the stone surface is reduced – ten or more times;
The anti -slip and dirt -repellent properties of the stone increase.
Before crystallization, it is recommended to carry out furniture items or close them with a special coating: the cleaning solution is extremely aggressive and can easily cause irreparable damage to any part of the interior.
